Su compromiso… disfrutar de la vida a través del arte

Brian Parks - El Pinche Gringo

Originally from San Diego, CA, USA, art has been present since childhood through his mother and uncle, a renowned illustrator from San Diego. An observer by nature, he found in photography an initial means to represent the world and in his search for a greater connection with it, he started painting, discovering watercolor and oil as the media that allow him to express it in a more personal way.

His main influences: C.W. Mundy, Kevin McPherson, and Richard Schmid

Currently, retired and residing in Oaxaca, he is reunited with the Mexican culture that influenced his childhood. A place that offers  endless visual material with which to work from, employing photography, video and painting.

His desire … as Robert Henri cites, is that of being able to transmit the sensations he experiences when interacting with his subjects through brush and paint.
